Springboard: change and opportunity
Have you ever taken a step into the unknown? Have you ever wanted to make a change to reach something greater? Have you launched something pivotal to you?
The answer is most likely, yes. You've taken a risk; you’ve changed something that you have been considering for weeks or maybe years or you’ve launched something that was once a floating idea. We all experience change, every day. Some are micro, and some are macro-changes. These moments can often alter your path, and it is when your perspective sees these as opportunities you can start to live a life you once dreamed of.
The key to change isn’t waiting for the perfect moment. There will be good moments, but don’t waste time in waiting for a perfect one. The springboard starts when you stop waiting and take action. Goals and dreams may seem out of reach, but momentum builds through small and consistent action: it is often the changes that only you can see. Yes, it takes risk and some may delay the action due to a fear of failure. Those that do that the leap accept the fact there could be failure, but they are willing to try and to learn.
We don’t always know what the outcome will be, but trust in yourself to help navigate these moments with greater clarity and ease. Whether you are looking to move towards a professional milestone or personal dream, progress comes from showing up for yourself - consistently. When you do this, you are investing in your vision, your future, and a host of possibilities.
It takes hard work, grit and determination – and you have to be willing. Willing to try, willing to learn, and willing to believe that you are capable. The journey is not always smooth so bring your closest friends or family along the journey with you. What matters is that you keep learning, keep adapting and keep believing in the version of yourself you’re becoming.
These moments have taught me the most about myself. I offer three key points for you to reflect on:
- Be the change you want to see - back and trust yourself
- Create the right environment, build your team around you
- Do the things that light you up
